“2021 began with a Chinese bowl bought at a garage sale for $35 and sold at auction for $700,000. It ends with the possible discovery of a lost drawing by Albrecht Dürer (left, at age 14) picked up at an estate sale for $30. As reported in The New York Times, if the drawing turns out to be the real thing, it might be worth tens of millions of dollars.
