The Private Law Theory blog is acting as host for an online symposium on Transformative Private Law. The concept of ‘transformative private law’ aims to underline both the constitutive role of private law in the making of contemporary economy as well as the potential to contribute to socio-ecological transition that we (as political communities, in Europe as elsewhere) need to accomplish.
This symposium has been organised by Prof Dr Marija Bartl of the University of Amsterdam Law School, following the recent launch of the Amsterdam Center for Transformative Private Law. Fresh contributions will be posted on this blog as they become available. To see the entire symposium to date as a whole, please visit the index page of the symposium.
