Call for papers: Law and the Climate Change emergency: Hillary Rodham Law School, Swansea University, 17 September 2019

A one day conference Towards a ‘Lex Climatoria’? Law and the Climate Change emergency will be held at the Hillary Rodham Law School, Swansea University on 17 September 2019. The conference theme will be the contribution that law and lawyers can make in avoiding or mitigating the imminent societal, political and economic apocalypse posed by global warming. The event is supported through the SLS Small Projects and Events Fund. The conference will aim to develop future research networks between law and other disciplines such as politics, engineering, science and business studies, to investigate the multi-disciplinary issues raised by climate change. Possible topics would be recent developments in climate change litigation, and an analysis of the role of ‘equity’ in operationalising the Paris Agreement architecture. If you are interested in presenting a paper at the conference, please contact Professor Simon Baughen, Hillary Rodham Law School, Swansea University, simon.baughen@swansea.ac.uk.
